Celebrating Mother Earth and her WATER Street Art Style
Los Angeles, CA, April 23, 2015: The second annual #EarthdayStreet celebration started in Los Angeles April 18th, 2015 and continues in Reno Nevada April 25th, with Water as the main focus, using the hashtags #earthdaystreet2015 and #WaterLove2015. Andrea LaHue aka Random Act put out the call for artists and community to connect by celebrating the EARTH and her WATER with art and a hashtag, in collaboration with The Gabba Gallery and Smile South Central. #EarthdayStreet2015, using the same format as last year, had over 30 artists in two Los Angeles locations. The celebration and creativity continues Saturday April 25th at 115 West Liberty in Reno Nevada, this weekend, with a group of nine (9) artists.
Liberty Fine Art Gallery has partnered with Andrea LaHue and her Random Act Projects for #EarthdayStreet2015 and #WaterLove2015. Rich Van Gogh of Liberty Fine Arts will be curating walls along with LaHue, at 115 W Liberty, in Reno, Nevada on April 25 and 26 and the community is invited to join in the fun.
Eric Brooks from Art Spot Reno, has also partnered with LaHue, as huge supporters of street art, will promote and assist in the event.
Reno Artists Pan Pantoja, Joe C Rock, Hernan, Kelsey Sweet and Bryce Chisholm joined the artists in Los Angeles for the #earthdaystreet2015 #waterlove2015 event in the Gabba Arts District with curator Jason Ostro, and are welcoming artists Clinton Bopp, MD MN, Pastey Whyte, along with LaHue (aka Random Act) for this weekend’s celebration in Reno, April 25 & 26, 2015.

#EarthdayStreet is the brainchild of Andrea LaHue aka Random Act, as a natural fit with her earth based work and flowers. Last year’s event was successful in transforming three lots with works of over 30 artist, kicking of the project Smile South Central, making a deep impression in all three neighborhoods, which have continued with the transformative power of street art. This non-profit, 501c3 endeavor is not a corporate sponsored event, rather, for the people and by the people.
